Inclusive Higher Education Act

History was made in 2016!

For the first time in the State of Colorado, students with intellectual disabilities were welcomed and fully integrated into college in Colorado.

IN! worked with the state legislature to enact into law Senate Bill 16-196, which partially funds a five-year pilot initiative to build the structure for inclusive higher education pathways at the University of Northern Colorado, the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and Arapahoe Community College.

Four Year Pilot Initiative Funding
$75k annually from the state for each initiative
$25k annually from IN! for each University initiative

IN! has committed to funding the balance.

Senate Bill 16–196 “Inclusive Higher Education Act”
