Meet Jonah! Last week, he earned his Comprehensive Higher Education Certificate from ACC, where he studied Multimedia Graphic Design. He chose this area of study because he "was known to be quite the artist," with talents including drawing, painting, and more. While in college, Jonah learned important job skills at King Soopers, where he bags groceries and brings carts inside. He also put his graphic design skills to use at his internship with Littleton High School, where he designed graphics for various sports teams. In the internship, Jonah enjoyed "seeing the outcome of each and every" graphic, and "making some changes to some small mistakes that are there." Jonah says college gave him an opportunity to "discover myself and find out what I was really capable of!" After graduation, Jonah hopes to work as a set designer or change roles within King Soopers to work on promotional graphics for the grocery chain. • What has the opportunity to go to college meant for you?: College gives me an opportunity to discover myself and find out what I was really capable of.
• What did you learn about yourself during college?: I can be as creative as I can be, as long as I have the right materials and I know which direction to go!
• Advice for incoming freshmen: You should always try something new when the opportunity comes, and then you will see your true purpose shining through!
