About the Young Professionals Board
The IN! Pathways to Inclusive Higher Education Young Professionals Board (YPB) is a neurodiverse group of young leaders dedicated to raising awareness of the inclusive college opportunities in Colorado for students with intellectual disability.
Made up of inclusive higher education (IHE) alumni and other inclusion-driven professionals in their 20s and 30s, the YPB is passionate about supporting the work of IN! and building up the next generation of advocates for inclusive higher education in Colorado.
Young Professionals Board Goals
- Raise awareness of IN! and advance its mission in Colorado
- Serve as IN! ambassadors, helping to build up a community of advocates for inclusive college pathways in our state
- Coordinate IN!’s Alumni Association, investing in IHE graduates and their families
Roles and Responsibilities
IN! YPB members must be young professionals in their 20s and 30s (current college students not eligible). Members may be IHE graduates or other inclusion-driven professionals from Colorado. All YPB members are IN! Ambassadors.
- Members that have graduated from IHE programs are “Alumni Ambassadors”
- All other members are “Inclusion Ambassadors”
Expectations and Responsibilities
- Minimum 2 year commitment
- Attend at least 4 of 6 monthly, virtual meetings
- Attend mandatory in-person strategic planning session
- Attend at least 2 Alumni Association events
- Volunteer at IN!’s Annual Tailgate Fundraiser
