"I am so grateful to have this opportunity to devote my time, skills and energy to help impact change for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Higher education is about so much more than the actual academics. The social and other life skills gained in an inclusive college experience help boost confidence and prepare students with IDD for the next chapter of their lives.”
Experience includes: The last 20+ years of my career have been devoted to helping organizations broaden their reach and increase their impact through developing and implementing strategic communications and outreach plans. My communications career includes 10 years in district-, state- and national-level education organizations (Denver Public Schools, Colorado Department of Education and Education Commission of the States) and eight years serving in national nonprofit organizations. I’m the happiest when I’m focused on mission-driven work, especially anything devoted to improving the lives of historically underrepresented groups of people.
